ABOUT
Hi, I’m Saniya
I’m a trauma therapist with a particular interest in how our experiences and relationships shape how we see ourselves, connect with others, and move through the world.
I approach therapy with warmth, compassion and curiosity. Together, we can understand the patterns that have shaped you and work towards new ways of responding and relating that feel more aligned with who you are and how you want to live.

Beyond Insight
When Insight Isn't Enough
Maybe you’ve been to therapy before. You understand where your patterns come from. You can recognise them as they’re happening and may even know exactly what you want to do differently — yet, in the moment, you find yourself responding in the same familiar ways.
Healing begins with understanding these patterns with compassion rather than judgement. Through a safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship, we work together to make sense of your story, reconnect with the wisdom of your body, and gradually create new ways of relating to yourself and others.
How I Work
Relational • Trauma-informed • Body-aware
My approach draws on Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, attachment and inner child work, and an understanding of narcissistic abuse and antagonistic relationship dynamics to support meaningful change.
Relational & Trauma-Informed
I believe healing happens within relationship. Our work together offers a steady, collaborative space where every response you've developed makes sense in context — and where we move only as fast as feels safe for your nervous system.
Sensorimotor & Body-Aware
The body holds what words sometimes can't reach. Drawing on principles from Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, I bring awareness to the body as part of the healing process — not just talking about what happened, but reconnecting with how it's still held.
AREAS OF SPECIALTY
Complex & Relational Trauma
The impact of distressing childhood and relational experiences on your sense of safety within yourself, in relationships and in the world around you.
Attachment Wounding
How early attachment and relationship experiences can shape the way you connect with others, navigate closeness and experience relationships.
MY APPROACH
Therapy that meets the mind and the body
Therapy with me is relational, attachment-based, and informed by the ways trauma can shape both the mind and body. I draw from somatic and trauma-informed approaches to support greater awareness, regulation, and connection — tailoring our work to your individual needs and pace.
Relational
Healing takes place within a relationship. Our work together offers a steady, collaborative space where your experience is witnessed and understood.
Trauma-Informed
Every response makes sense in context. We move at a pace that respects your nervous system, never asking more than feels safe.
Attachment-Based
Early relationships shape how we connect as adults. Together we explore these patterns and build a foundation of self-trust.
Body-Aware & Somatic
our bodies and nervous systems can continue responding according to what they learned through earlier experiences, even when intellectually we understand things differently now.
. Drawing on somatic and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy principles, we reconnect with the body's wisdom as part of the healing process.
The name
"Healing rarely happens in a straight line. It happens in threads — small, patient connections, gathered slowly until something whole begins to take shape."
Every story arrives at therapy tangled — past and present, protection and pain, all woven together. The work of Threads of Alchemy is to sit alongside you as those threads are gently traced, understood, and, in time, rewoven into something that feels more like your own.
Alchemy isn't about erasing what happened. It's the quiet, ongoing transformation that becomes possible once your experience is truly witnessed.
